We Support The Gebhard Woods Dulcimer and Traditional Music Festival

Picture
The South Suburban Dulcimer and Folk Music Society is a major supporter of the Gebhard Woods Dulcimer and Traditional Music Festival, now in its 25th year.  The festival is the Midwest's largest dulcimer festival and is held in the beautiful Gebhard Woods State Park in Morris, Illinois each June.  Musicians come from all over the US to perform, teach, jam and ply their particular craft.  Vendors line the midway while music plays from the large, central stage all day long for two full days.  As a part of our mission to support the playing and teaching of folk music and folk instruments, we support the festival both financially and as part of its leadership.  Many of our members hold a leadership role in the festival and we are proud to be associated with such a fine group of musicians.

Visit the festival's website by going to: http://www.gebharddulcimer.org/

This year's festival will be held on the second weekend in June, June 8 & 9, 2013.  Please see map below.
